  • Connecting the Roots

A celebration of Americana music ...the growth of Bluegrass, Appalachian, Quebecois, Cajun music from Celtic influence. Charity from the Choctaws. Repurposed slave ships and New Orleans dance crazes. Icy Canadian islands, Appalachian hollers, railway camps in the desert. These are all scenes and skeins of Irish experience, a trail of tales left by millions of travelers fleeing famine and seeking hope. The story of the Irish immigrant’s impact on America and America’s impact on the Irish immigrant told through music, story, dance and film.

Artist replacement: As of 5/19/25, Eileen Ivers has replaced the Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy.
