Cancellation notice: (8/19/25) Due to unforeseen circumstances, the U.S. portion of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen tour has been cancelled. As a result, their scheduled performance on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall will no longer take place.
In its place, the Philharmonic Society is pleased to present an exceptional evening of chamber music featuring Gabriel Fauré’s two piano quartets, performed by an all-star ensemble: violinist James Ehnes (originally scheduled as the soloist with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen), pianist Inon Barnatan, violist Jonathan Vinocour, and cellist Raphael Bell. This performance will take place on the same date and at the same venue. See the full program and concert information here.
Embark on a vibrant musical journey to Italy with Schubert’s sparkling Overture in the Italian Style and Mendelssohn’s beloved Italian Symphony. Filled with lively rhythms, rich melodies, and sun-soaked charm, this program captures the spirit and beauty of Italy through the genius of two Romantic-era masters.
