Join award-winning author Alka Joshi on Zoom as she shares behind-the-scenes stories about her latest book, Six Days in Bombay. She will expound on her research and creative writing processes of who, how, what, and why—and then engage in an informative Q&A to answer your questions.

About the Book

Six Days in Bombay is a riveting mystery that pulls us into the tumultuous world of the late 1930s, where a young woman in search of her identity must leave the safe haven she knows in Bombay and travel to an increasingly dangerous Europe. Ms. Joshi uses the life of real-life painter Amrita Sher-Gil, the "Frida Kahlo of India," as inspiration to explore how far we would travel to determine where one truly belongs.
