A co-presentation of Laguna Beach Live! and the Philharmonic Society of Orange County

Anne Akiko Meyers brings the 2024 Laguna Beach Music Festival to a delightful close with “Carnaval! pairing Ástor Piazzolla’s nostalgic homage to the tango genre, L'histoire du Tango, with a new arrangement of Camille Saint-Saëns’ whimsical Carnival of the Animals.

There is an old-world glamour to Ms. Akiko Meyers’s playing, with her high-gloss, singing sound and her liberal use of sighing slides from one note to another….in the most hazardous tempo changes and transitions their interaction was impressively relaxed.
