  • MAHLER: Symphony No. 4 in G major

Pre-concert lecture at 7pm by KUSC's Brian Lauritzen

Led by Italian conductor Fabio Luisi, Dallas Symphony Orchestra returns to Orange County for the first time in more than 50 years to perform Mahler’s Fourth Symphony. Pianist George Li joins the orchestra to perform Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor

Artist Change (3/30/2026): The Philharmonic Society of Orange County has been informed by management that due to an acute illness, Hélène Grimaud is unable to perform and has regrettably canceled her concerts in California. She extends her sincere apologies and looks forward to returning to these wonderful venues soon, as well as collaborating again with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Luisi. Fortunately pianist George Li has been secured to replace Hélène Grimaud. The program remains unchanged.

Her energetic performance calls to mind the heroic days of late 19th- and early 20th-century recitals.
