Rick Benjamin, conductor
Paragon Orchestra
Conductor Rick Benjamin and the Paragon Orchestra have performed the original scores to silent films for about 20 years. This season, they bring the appealing blend of romance, comedy and swordplay of the Mark of Zorro at the California State University, Fullerton Meng Concert Hall. Set in old Spanish California, actor Douglas Fairbanks brings humor and athleticism with the modern action-adventure hero “Señor Zorro.” Well-known for slashing his trademark “Z” on the consciousness and sometimes the posteriors of the corrupt administration of Governor Alvarado, Zorro leads the way to “Justice for all!”
