Donna L. Kendall Classical Series
The nationally recognized Boston Pops
makes its first Orange County appearance in nearly 10 years under the baton of conductor Keith Lockhart
. Affectionately known as “America’s Orchestra,” the Boston Pops is famed for its annual Fourth of July concert at the Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade, and also performed at the Statue of Liberty for the monument's rededication in 1986. The evening features a program of light orchestral classics, including a show-stopping medley from the iconic films scores of Boston Pops Laureate Conductor John Williams.
The 20th conductor of the Boston Pops, Keith Lockhart returns to Orange County for his second consecutive season. Since his appointment in 1995, Maestro Lockhart has led the Boston Pops on more than 30 tours of the United States.
